Complaint sparks police action
The case began when police received a complaint from a customer who booked sexual services online through the social media platform X. He claimed the woman who arrived looked nothing like the model in the advertisement and said many others had similar experiences.
Raid at Bangkok resort
On August 9, officers from Metropolitan Police Division 3, led by Commissioner Police Major General Siam Bunsom, raided a resort in the Hathai Rat area. They arrested three Laotian women suspected of offering sexual services under false pretences.
High-level police involvement
The operation was supported by Pol. Maj. Gen. Noppasin Poolsawat, deputy commissioner in charge of investigations, and Pol. Maj. Gen. Kiattikun Sonthine, Commander of Metropolitan Police Division 3. Officers from the division’s investigation unit participated in the sting.
