Bundesliga teams up with Viettel for exclusive Vietnam broadcast

The Bundesliga has signed a three-year exclusive agreement with Viettel, Vietnam’s largest telecommunications provider, to broadcast all Bundesliga matches in the country starting with the 2025-26 season. Viettel’s OTT platform TV360 will stream every game, bringing Germany’s top football league closer to Vietnamese fans.

Viettel serves over half of Vietnam’s population with mobile, broadband, and enterprise services and is recognized for its fast network speeds and sustainable practices. The deal will see TV360 show all nine Bundesliga matches per matchday until the end of the 2027-28 campaign, beginning with a special broadcast of the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup between VfB Stuttgart and Bayern München.

Expanding fan engagement and player development

Beyond broadcasting, the partnership will launch Bundesliga fan events in Vietnam, including public viewings, trophy displays, and exclusive promotions to unite supporters nationwide. Importantly, the collaboration offers a pathway for Vietnamese talent: each season, two players and a coach from Hanoi’s The Cong – Viettel FC will train at top Bundesliga clubs in Germany.

This initiative builds on the Bundesliga Dream program, aiming to foster Asian football talent with opportunities in Germany’s elite league. Bundesliga International CEO Peer Naubert praised the partnership, highlighting Vietnam’s rapidly growing fanbase and Viettel’s innovative media presence as key to deepening engagement with Bundesliga football.

Viettel, a state-owned company, holds Vietnam’s largest market share in mobile services and maintains a strong position in broadband and enterprise solutions, ensuring a robust platform to showcase Bundesliga action for years to come.

Viettel and Bundesliga deepen football ties in Vietnam

“We are proud to bring the Bundesliga – one of the world’s most prestigious football leagues – to Vietnamese fans through TV360, Viettel Group’s leading OTT platform. This partnership reflects our commitment to delivering world-class football experiences and creating new opportunities for Vietnamese talents to connect with top clubs in Germany,” said Ms. Nguyễn Hà Thành, Deputy General Director of Viettel Telecom Corporation.

The Bundesliga is among the most active European sports properties in Vietnam, with league and clubs collaborating closely with local partners to develop football at all levels. This relationship was strengthened in 2022 when the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga and the Vietnamese Football Federation (VFF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), extended in February 2025.

International cooperation also includes friendly matches that enhance ties between German and Vietnamese football. The women’s team from SV Werder Bremen played a friendly against the Vietnam national team in Hanoi in May 2025. Earlier, Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig hosted the Vietnamese women’s team in 2023 and 2024, respectively. Additionally, Borussia Dortmund faced the Vietnam men’s national team during their mid-season Asia Tour in 2022.
