Horror Crash in Pattaya: Four Left Fighting for Life After Midnight Bike Smash

Midnight Mayhem on Jomtien Second Road

It’s just after midnight in Pattaya when disaster strikes. Two motorbikes collide head-on outside the bustling Rompho Market, sending four people – two Thai men and a Russian couple – straight to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The crash scene is pure devastation. Twisted metal, shattered plastic, and the echo of sirens fill the night air.

Bikes Reduced to Wrecks

At 00:30 on October 1, 2025, the Sawang Boriboon rescue centre receives a frantic call. There’s been a serious motorbike accident on Jomtien Second Road.

Rescuers arrive to find chaos. A white Honda Click lies mangled on the tarmac. Its Thai rider, Mr. Natthaphong Nilsaeng, 27, and his passenger, Mr. Chutitheph Bunban, 34, both suffer severe injuries. Paramedics rush to their aid, stabilising them before whisking them to a nearby hospital.

Russian Couple Caught in the Wreckage

Just ten metres away, another bike – a white Honda Forza with Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya plates – is wrecked beyond recognition. Its Russian rider and his female passenger, whose names remain unknown, are also badly hurt. They’re quickly transported to a local hospital for emergency treatment.

Witnesses Tell of Sudden Swerve

Eyewitnesses paint a dramatic picture for police. They claim the Thai rider had just left Rompho Bar and suddenly veered across the road without signalling or checking for traffic. In that split second, the Russian couple’s motorbike is heading straight towards him. The collision is brutal – and inevitable.

Heroes in the Night

Bystanders don’t hesitate. They dash to help the injured, dialling emergency services in a panic. Police soon arrive, meticulously documenting the scene and seizing both bikes for investigation. Early CCTV footage appears to back up the witnesses’ accounts.

“It was a huge bang,” one shaken witness recalls. “Suddenly, all four were lying on the road. The bikes were totally smashed. We just ran to help and called for an ambulance.”

Police Probe Reckless Driving

Now, police are preparing to summon both parties for questioning. Legal action looms, especially for the Thai rider, who allegedly ignored the Russian couple’s right of way. A charge of reckless driving could be on the cards.

Investigators are also probing whether alcohol played a part. The Rompho Bar, notorious for late-night drinking, is just steps away from the crash site.

The hunt for answers continues – but for four people, the road to recovery will be long and uncertain.
