Royal Enfield Rider Killed in High-Speed Crash on Pattaya’s Sukhumvit Road

Fatal Crash on Pattaya’s Sukhumvit Road Claims Biker’s Life

A tragic accident unfolds on October 5, 2025, along the busy Sukhumvit Road in Pattaya. A 34-year-old Royal Enfield rider slams into a car at high speed and dies at the scene. The crash leaves two others with minor injuries.

High-Speed Collision Ends in Disaster

The fatal incident happens around noon near Sukhumvit-Pattaya Soi 42. Witnesses say a 53-year-old Chinese driver, Mr. Chang, turns left into Soi 42 from the second lane in his bronze Honda sedan.

At that moment, Prakasit Suwannamee, 34, approaches on his black Royal Enfield Big Bike. He rides fast and cannot brake in time. The motorcycle crashes hard into the car’s left door. The impact is severe, causing Prakasit life-threatening injuries.

Rescue Efforts Fail to Save Royal Enfield Rider

Emergency teams from Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Pattaya rush to the scene. They find Prakasit with a critical neck wound and a broken collarbone. Paramedics fight for over 40 minutes to revive him, but all attempts fail. Prakasit dies at the roadside.

Two others are luckier. A Bolt motorcycle taxi driver on a Honda Click and his Indian passenger suffer only minor scrapes. Medics treat them at the scene.

Chinese Driver Cooperates with Pattaya Police

Mr. Chang, the Chinese driver, stays at the site and works with police. His Honda sedan shows heavy damage to the left door, clear evidence of the forceful crash.

Police Lieutenant Sakayaphap Chaidech, deputy investigator at Pattaya City Police Station, leads the inquiry. It remains unclear if Mr. Chang failed to see the oncoming motorcycle or if the Royal Enfield’s speed is to blame.

Sukhumvit Road’s Deadly Reputation in Pattaya

This is not an isolated tragedy for Pattaya. Sukhumvit Road is notorious for frequent and serious accidents. Collisions between cars and motorcycles often happen at junctions and side streets.

Police have long warned about speeding and lack of attention on this busy road. As this case shows, just one moment of distraction can end in disaster.

Investigation Continues After Pattaya Crash

Officers plan to question all witnesses and may review CCTV footage from the area. Mr. Chang could face charges of negligent manslaughter, depending on the outcome of the investigation.
