Terrifying Night: Young Woman Survives Attack in Pattaya Flat

Horror Strikes in the Early Hours

It’s just after 4am in Pattaya when Ms Da, 19, faces every woman’s worst nightmare.

She’s busy doing laundry in her apartment when a stranger appears at her door. He asks to use her toilet. She refuses. But he forces his way in.

Violent Attack and Desperate Struggle

The man ignores her protests. He shoves her against the wall, drags her into the bathroom, and pins her to the floor.

Ms Da fights back with all her strength. Her screams echo through the building. The attacker lashes out, kicking her in the face. Then he grabs her iPhone 15—worth 26,000 Baht—and flees.

Locked In and Left Helpless

In a cruel twist, the intruder locks the door from the outside, trapping Ms Da inside her own home.

But her cries don’t go unheard. Neighbours, alarmed by the noise and frantic banging, rush to her aid. They break in and free her.

Suspect Caught on Camera

CCTV footage captures the suspect clearly. He’s of medium build, wearing a yellow shirt with a blue collar, black trousers, white flip-flops, and a large white rucksack.

The video shows him methodically moving from door to door before targeting Ms Da’s flat.

Police Launch Manhunt

Ms Da immediately reports the attack at Pattaya City Police Station. Lieutenant Krittiphong Thaengkan takes her statement and launches an urgent investigation.

A police team is now scouring the area, hunting the suspect using the CCTV images and witness descriptions. “We will bring him to justice,” vows a police spokesman. Officers urge the public to help identify the man.

Lingering Trauma and Safety Fears

Ms Da now faces a long road to recovery. Her facial injuries are painful, but the psychological scars may last even longer.

The attack raises fresh fears over safety in Pattaya’s residential blocks. Experts call for tighter security and more guards. Women living alone are urged to stay alert and report anything suspicious straight away.

Hunt Continues as Police Gather Clues

Detectives are poring over CCTV and interviewing witnesses. The suspect’s distinctive clothing could lead to a swift arrest.

But with his calculated approach, could he strike again? The city waits anxiously for answers.
