Foreign Thief Caught Red-Handed in Phuket
Outrage sweeps through Phuket after a daring theft in the Bang Tao area. A foreign man is seen on CCTV stealing two laptops and a wallet from a local residence.
The victim, Ferosh “Eve” Suriya, is desperate for answers. He shares the footage online, pleading for help to catch the culprit.
Crime Scene Drama Unfolds
The incident plays out like a crime thriller. It happens early Wednesday morning, 1 October 2025, between 5:50 and 6:00am, in Soi Bang Tao 11.
Eve posts the CCTV video on Facebook just yesterday. “If anyone recognises this man, please contact me,” he urges. The call for help quickly spreads.
The Suspect’s Every Move Captured
The footage is crystal clear. A foreign man in a grey long-sleeved shirt, black shorts, black trainers, and a blue cap appears on screen.
He parks his black motorbike a short distance away, then walks to the property. The theft takes just moments.
Swift Getaway With Stolen Goods
The video shows the thief leaving with two laptops tucked under his arm. He slips the stolen wallet into his pocket and hurries back to his bike.
Crucially, the CCTV captures the number plate: 1 กร 5935. Eve checks the registration and discovers the bike belongs to a local rental shop. “This could be the key to finding him,” Eve says.
Turning to the Power of the Crowd
Eve does not confirm if he has filed a formal police complaint. Instead, he puts his faith in social media.
He urges anyone with information to call him directly on 082-651-5195. “I’ll offer a reward for tips that lead to the arrest of this foreign suspect,” Eve promises. He believes the community can make a difference.
Phuket’s Growing Problem With Foreign Crime
This is not an isolated case. Phuket has seen a string of thefts involving foreigners.
Just in August, CCTV caught another foreign suspect switching price tags in a clothing shop to buy items at fake discounts.
That same month, a foreign man—reportedly British—was arrested for stealing a mobile phone and attempting to steal a car from a Thai woman. A local restaurant also accused a group of foreign customers of stealing a watch.
Will Social Media Bring Justice?
The investigation is underway. With CCTV images now circulating online, hopes are high the thief will be identified soon.
Phuket’s community has shown before it can unite against crime. But will this online manhunt end in justice—or will the suspect slip away once again?
